The 2000 Cotes du Rhone Clos de l'Hermitage is dominated by its Syrah component.

An opaque purple color is followed by scents of blackberry liqueur, licorice, tar, and pepper. This dense, full-bodied, opulent, thick, lusty, fruit bomb will drink well for 5-7 years.

This is a blockbuster value.
